5 Greater Danbury Bars I’ll Meet You At When This Is All Over
I'm pretty itchy for a pint with friends, and while we have a long way to go, I have my list set of the places I will go when we get back to normal.
Frankly I hope they are all open by the time this health crisis is over. The sad and terrifying truth is that is how we have to look not only at these places but all local businesses. It may come as no surprise to you that I have personal relationships with some of the owners, operators and staff at these great local establishments.
Here are 5 of the Greater Danbury bars I'll meet you at when it's safe.
Like I said, I've been in contact with Scott at Down the Hatch so I know that their kitchen is not open right now. It's a seasonal business and he wants to serve his customers as soon as possible. He's eyeing a tentative date of May 20 to start the season, according to the website, but we all know everything is fluid right now.
As for the others on the list, most have working kitchens, and I don't know for sure if they are making food. It's worth a shot to call ahead and see if you can support their kitchens in this ridiculous time we are living in.
- O'Connor's New Milford (860) 799-6677 (The "web" says temporarily closed)

Stay safe, kids, it may not be next week but we are meeting for a butt-load of cocktails in the future.
