Labor Day weekend is here, and as usual we're wrapping up Summer in style. Here are 5 great ways to celebrate Summer's last long weekend in Connecticut and New York.

1) The Goshen Fair

The Goshen Fair is a big one, with truck pulls, cattle, horse shows, lots of fair food, and live music including Blues legends James Montgomery and Christine Ohlman, plus plenty of great bands performing throughout the weekend at the Fairgrounds on Rt. 63 in Goshen. Hours are Saturday and Sunday 8 am- 9 pm and Monday 8 am to 6 pm.

2) The Victory Cup

Polo matches, hot air balloons, and VIP areas filled with food. Balloons launch early Saturday morning and early evening on Friday and Saturday, with plenty of polo action throughout Saturday afternoon at the 3J Ranch in Patterson, NY.

3) Blues and Views

Westport's Levitt Pavilion rocks on Saturday from 11 am to 10 pm and Sunday 11 am to 9 pm with local and national Blues, Funk and Rock artists.  VIP tickets with bar and food are also available.

4) The Woodstock Fair

The "quiet corner" of CT won't be so quiet as Fleetwood Mac tribute band "Tusk," 80's rockers Skid Row and 70's glam legends The Sweet are among the entertainment at this year's Woodstock Fair. There's also a Battle of the Bands on Friday afternoon with some local CT acts playing tribute to the 50th anniversary of the "other" Woodstock.

5) Lime Rock Historic Festival

More Ferrari's and Lamborghini's than you're likely to ever see in one place. Lime Rock features Vintage car racing, open paddocks, and your chance to meet the drivers and peek under the hood of some classic race cars. Skip Barber and the crew have been doing this event for 37 years and it's become a destination for race fans.
