We're almost back, baby! Residents of Danbury, New Milford, Bethel, Brookfield, and Newtown can't wait to get out and celebrate the upcoming Memorial Day weekend with family and friends.

In most of the greater Danbury area towns, residents are looking forward to coming out of hiding to enjoy Memorial Day parades, barbecues, and special ceremonies that will honor and mourn the military personnel who have died defending our great nation. Memorial Day Weekend runs from Saturday, May 29 through Monday, May 31. The City of Danbury has canceled its Memorial Day parade this year.

BETHEL - According to the New Haven Register, even though Bethel has canceled the town's Memorial Day Parade, the Bethel Patriotic Society will conduct a socially distanced ceremony on May 23 at the town hall where war veterans' names will be read. Both the Stony Hill and Bethel Volunteer Fire Departments will also hold their own ceremonies.
