Rock Hill is one of the only towns in the Hudson Valley to have something most towns don't.

One of my favorite things to do is to learn about some of the smaller towns all across the Hudson Valley and small, as far as size goes, is exactly what Rock Hill is. Now it may be a small town but Rock Hill does have a bunch of things worth checking out.

Rock Hill Trading Post

The trading post is located at 214 Rock Hill Dr, Rock Hill, NY, and is one of only a handful of trading posts left in the Hudson Valley. Way back when trading posts stores were the place that folks would goto to buy, sell and trade things. Today most trading posts don't offer the trading option anymore but they are the one place to go if you are looking for just about everything. Big thank you to Dan who called us to share that the Rock Hill Trading Post is one of the only locally owned places he knows of where he can grocery shop and find things to fix his lawnmower all under the same roof...LOL!

They Have a Sleepaway Camp

When you were younger did you ever go away to camp over the summer? Back when I was a kid every summer I would beg my parents to send me away for the summer to a sleepaway camp. (My begging got even worse after I watched the "Meatballs" movie...if you've never seen it, go watch it, and you'll want to go camp too!) They never sent me but if you have kids and are thinking about sending the kids away this summer Rock Hill has a really cool camping experience.

Pizza Place with the Best Name

I'm going out on a limb here by saying I think that Pizza the Rock is one of the best pizza place names I've heard in a long time. I'm not sure if it's because I'm a fan of Dwanye "the Rock" Johnson or how the pizza place used Rock (being in Rock Hill) in their name. Either way, we aren't alone in saying that ey have some really good pizza and more. Pizza the Rock is located at the corner of Rock Hill Dr & Glen Wild Rd in Rock Hill, NY, if your coming off of Route 17 take Exit 109.
