For outsiders, Connecticut is probably a little bit weird in some ways. But you know what they used to say, the more you know.....

IMPORTANT HONORABLE MENTION: Not all Connecticut people are rich and/or white. This state is extremely diverse culturally and economically. You might be very surprised to learn how different Connecticut is from it's national stereotype. The people here are all very different and I think that is the best way to live. I'm not comfortable living in an echo chamber.

Just like anywhere else it's not perfect but it works for me. I'd rather have a couple of rude interactions a day than stop and chat with every person I see. I'd rather eat great pizza than BBQ all the time and I certainly appreciate our Northeast history and architecture more than what I've seen in other regions.
