The timing of this article is not a mistake or a coincidence. These places were left abandoned long before the COVID-19 crisis. The fact is there will be more to follow and it's not a problem that is exclusive to Danbury, CT.

I'm not suggesting the solution is for everyone to rush back to commerce and act as if nothing ever happened. To get the economy going and keep everyone as safe as possible we are going to have to all make serious adjustments.

All that said, I find some eerie beauty in a place that was once teaming with life and overnight everyone walked away. I seek these places out and try and imagine the families waiting for a table, a couple out for a night of dancing or a line of cars at the drive up window. This is Zombie Danbury.........
