Let me start by saying this - I don't like misinformation. It irks me when someone who has never set foot in Waterbury, let alone Connecticut, or the East Coast for that matter, publishes something about the place that we live, and it's bogus.

If you're a newcomer to the area and do a Google search, restaurants are typically the first businesses that pop up. Yelp has been around for years, and they dominate search engine results when you try to look up someplace new to eat. I did a Yelp search this morning for Waterbury, and I was surprised at the results. Not only are some of the top rated restaurants on Yelp permanently closed, some of them aren't in Waterbury.

I do agree with a few restaurants on the list, but there are many that made me shake my head.
