When I heard the XFL was coming back, I laughed. I laughed because it was a bad idea the first time around. I figured they would have a butt load of meetings, discuss it further and realize they were being silly. Well, that didn't happen and now the XFL has TV deals with FOX and Disney, according to the Wall Street Journal.

The XFL will relaunch one week after next year's Super Bowl, and the games will broadcast on both FOX and ABC platforms. There will be 43 games in all and each one will be televised. Yes, the revolution will be televised.

After the excitement, interest and curiosity of the first week, the terrible product will show its terribleness, interest will wane, advertisers will drop and we will see the XFL go away again. That's my prediction.

Don't get me wrong, I wanted it to work the first time, but it didn't. The players were not good enough and they won't be this time. People don't want an alternative to the NFL, they just want more NFL with less of the poor decision making by the folks that run the league. No one needs fireworks, dopey names and silly rules. We just want see good football. The XFL will not have good football.
