Wrong-Way Crash Claims Danbury Man Near Exit 3 on I-84

A head-on collision on I-84 claimed the life of a 41-year-old Danbury man driving the wrong way on Friday night.

The News Times reports that, Marcos Chillogalli, was traveling in the wrong direction, going east near exit 3 in the westbound lane when he hit a Dodge Ram head on. The driver of the truck, 35-year-old Julio Manfort of Danbury, sustained serious injuries in the crash.

I-84 was shut down until after 4 am on Saturday morning while police examined the scene. Chillogalli, who was killed in the crash, had to be extricated from his car, police said.

CT State Troopers from Troop A - Southbury are asking for the public's help as they continue their inverstigation of the accident that occurred on I-84 at exit 3, westbound at exit 3 in Danbury on April 28, 2017 at approximately 10:45 p.m.
