Somebody who lives around here, works around here, or spends time in Connecticut, is a whole lot richer right now, because a $2 million Mega Millions lottery ticket was purchased in Fairfield just before last Friday evening, according to the CT Post. Maybe it was you, if you stopped into Wheels Convenience Store, located at 2047 Post Road in Fairfield to buy a ticket or two. As of today, no one has stepped forward to claim it. The numbers drawn on Friday were 1 - 6 - 13 - 18 - 49, the Mega Ball was 8 and Megaplier 2.

Whoever purchased this ticket got the Megaplier, which costs one dollar more, but it doubles this prize from $1 million to $2 million, but the clock is ticking on the winner. They only have 180 days to claim the prize, which makes the deadline, Wednesday, February 20, 2019. If the winner lets the deadline pass, the funds go to the state of Connecticut.
