It's something that's always on my mind as I am a New York--Connecticut commuter. Whenever there's speculation, either way, I worry.

I travel every day, bright and early from the Hudson Valley to Brookfield to co-host the Kicks 105.5 Morning Show with Mr. Morning. Word has it today, that gasoline prices are going to be on the rise soon, according to the Connecticut Post citing a report from AAA.

They say prices may rise by as much as 40 cents a gallon come summer. Right now the average price of a regular gallon of gas here is $2.38, which is up about 37 cents from last year at this time.

It's reassuring to remember that prices have been stable for a while, however, according to Fox TV 61 in Hartford. They note that AAA predicts gas prices could top out nationally this summer at an average of around $2.70 or maybe more for a gallon of regular unleaded.

I'm low-key hoping they’re wrong!
