Located in southern New Milford, Connecticut, the Elephant's Trunk Flea Market is known as a superb spot to find all sorts of used treasures. My wife Mindy and I had never checked it out and were curious to see if it lived up to the hype, so we decided to see for ourselves. Elephant's Trunk is located at 490 Danbury Road (Route 7) in New Milford. On a gorgeous Sunday afternoon in October 2024, we parked in a lot that felt as humongous as a football field. What we saw when we got there was just incredible!

Mindy and I walked every aisle at the Elephant's Trunk with dual purposes in mind. Mindy loves to shop, and I would prefer to do anything but shop. My mission was to meander up and down every aisle with a single purpose in mind: to snap as many photos as possible of the more unique items for sale so I could show them to you.

The Elephant's Trunk's website states that it hopes for an April 6th opening this year, which will be determined by the weather and also if the field is in prime condition. This year, general admission will begin at 7 a.m., and the 7 to 8 a.m. $10 time frame has been eliminated. $20 early admission will be from 5:30 a.m. to 6:45 a.m. Please note the price of admission will increase to $4.00 per person and there are absolutely NO PETS allowed.

LET'S GO TAKE A LOOK AT SOME OF THE UNIQUE ITEMS I SAW FOR SALE LAST YEAR!

LOOKS: Things You'd Find in Your Grandpa's Garage

Adventures were plentiful in the domain of your family's patriarch who saw no use for rules - unless he was the one making them. From rusty tools to a stack of filthy magazines, Grandpa's garage was a land of mystery and danger.
