What You Need to Know About the Pepperidge Farm Goldfish Recall

There is yet another food recall due to possible Salmonella contamination. This recall is a precautionary one to prevent any possible complications.

Pepperidge Farm has issued a voluntary recall for four kinds of Goldfish snack products. The company that supplies whey powder for the goldfish that’s in the crackers had the contamination problem.

Here are the varieties of Goldfish that are being recalled according to the Business Wire:

• Flavor Blasted® Xtra Cheddar
• Flavor Blasted® Sour Cream & Onion
• Goldfish® Baked with Whole Grain Xtra Cheddar
• Goldfish® Mix Xtra Cheddar + Pretzel

Thank goodness no illnesses have been reported so far, and there aren’t any other Pepperidge Farm products that are being recalled.

With little ones in the house it's definitely better to be safe than sorry. Goldfish are a major snack food in our house, so this afternoon I’ll be looking to see if we have any in our pantry just to be safe.
