There was an entire life for me, before writing articles and hosting a radio show.

Some days it's hard for me to remember that I had a life before content, or to remember what I cared about back then. I can remember some things, like the fact that I never cared one bit about what businesses were opening or closing in my town. But today, I have to care. I care because most people (you) do.

It took me many years to get it through my thick skull but it's an absolute truth, people love to hear about businesses that are closing and they LOVE to hear about them opening. As a group you (people) also love tragedies, animals wearing tiny clothes and anything that causes mass outrage. Since I cannot stomach writing about any of those I pay extra attention to new and outgoing business.

This is why I randomly started thinking about the newly vacated Barnes and Noble on Backus Avenue in Danbury. This particular location was sort of a nice closing story because it didn't go out of business, it just moved to a new location in the mall, down the street.

What would you most want to go there? My brain starts thinking of options that will aggravate locals like Hooters and Bennigan's but I'll be the only Michael Scott in the room, on that one. Instead, I've done some research and selected some of the country's most popular chain restaurants for you to choose from.

I don't know that it WILL be a restaurant but I do know from experience that you prefer them to retail. Again, I've been doing this for a bit.

The above options were selected for their popularity. All of the selections above are ranked in the Top 50 most popular chain restaurants in the U.S. I left a bunch of them out that are already in business around the corner from this location.

Ridgefield Playhouse Exec Shares Revealing Tales About Richards and More

The Ridgefield Playhouse and I-95 have had a longstanding and fruitful business relationship. The Playhouse, it's leadership and staff have always been welcoming to us and we like to think we've been good to them as well.

I've been doing the I-95 Morning Show for 15 years and in that time I've had so many wonderful memories in that building. We performed our Ethan and Lou 10 year Anniversary concert there, I've met countless celebrities at the Playhouse and have attended many of their shows.

Many of the top flight guests we've booked on the I-95 Morning Show have been courtesy of our association with the Playhouse. But it wasn't just the rock stars that got invited to our studio, the people behind the curtain have always been regular guests on our shows.

Jared Shahid is the new Managing Director at the Ridgefield Playhouse but not a new face to us. Ethan and I have hung with him backstage, we've had him in the studio and he and I even worked on a TV project together.

Jared is one of the best storytellers I know so we were delighted to invite him back on the show. Recently, Shahid joined us on the the I-95 Morning Show with Ethan, Lou & Dave. Whenever he comes in, he brings tickets and stories for our audience. These are some of the amazing behind the scenes tales he shared with us on Thursday (5/25/23).
