What Happens at a Radio Station During a Blizzard?
The days leading up to Snowmageddon 2017 were filled with weather forecasts predicting snowfall amounts that kept changing. The day before, the estimates went from 1 to 3 inches to more than a foot of the frozen white stuff expected. It was getting exciting. Reports of bread and milk flying off the shelves at local supermarkets dominated the internet.
But what happens to those of us that can't hunker down? All of my adult life I have worked in a radio station. This is not a matter of "are we off tomorrow?" This is a matter of "I gotta get in and tell everyone to stay home!"
While I can do without snow, I feel that as long as we live up here, let it snow, let it snow, let it snow. And, guess what? I'll be here along with my fellow radio colleagues (aka: lunatics) telling you to stay home.
I thought I would document what happened during my drive in to the radio station during SNOWMAGEDDON 2017.
