It's not that often that we are able to bring you a calico cat for our Pet of the Week, but that's what we've got for you this week.

Did you know that just about all calico cats are female? Only 1 in 3000 happen to be male -- it's a chromosome thing.

Skylar is a 3-year-old female who is a very sweet and affectionate cat. She came to the Animal Welfare Society as a stray who was rescued by a Good Samaritan. She is now ready to go to her forever home where she can be loved.

Skylar is a pastel calico long hair, she's all up to date on her vaccines and she's set to be spayed next week.
