Westchester County Wegmans To Begin Construction + Hire Hundreds

People in Westchester County are getting pretty excited with the news of Wegmans Food Market coming soon to Harrison, and they may even have a job for you.

The buzz is been out on the street for months, all the site work is just about done and construction will be starting soon. Now we can officially tell you that Wegmans Food Market in Harrison should be opening by the Spring of 2020 and they will be hiring.

Wegmans Food Market is a family run business, and has been recognized as an industry leader and innovator, and it's a great place to work too. Wegmans has been named one of the "100 Best Companies to Work For" by FORTUNE magazine for 22 consecutive years, ranking No. 3 in 2019.

We've also learned through a company press release that Wegmans is now ready to hire some 220 full-time employees to staff the new 121,000 sq. ft. store in advance of its spring 2020 opening. Looks like part-timers will be hired at a later date, but the Harrison location alone is looking at bringing some 500 full and part time employees on board.

The new store will be located at 106 Corporate Park Drive near Interstate 287 and the Hutchinson River Parkway, and of course, the store will offer all of the amazingness that is Wegmans. It's an experience, that's for sure. They'll have a variety of restaurant prepared foods, including their famous Burger Bar, fresh salads, sandwiches, kids meals, soup, sides, and beer and wine by the glass.
