According to the CT Post, an ongoing narcotics investigation came to a climax on Friday (3/5/21) when Waterbury Police arrested 43-year-old Chauncey Christian and 44-year-old Beth Quinones.

Both suspects have been charged with a wide variety of drug and firearms charges and the authorities say they were allegedly running a "drug factory" out of a Willow Street residence.

Now Chancey (L) looks mildly surprised by Beth (R) looks really caught off guard.

I got to wondering what could lead to this level of astonishment in a photo and I decided that if you ask weird question a split second before taking a photo, you might get this face in return.

These are the questions, I believe police could have asked to get this result:

  • Did you know that your friend Chauncey is a classically trained pianist?
  • Do you do "The Dew?"
  • What would be the best thing about not having a sense of smell?
  • If you could be locked in jail with only one person, who would it be?
  • What part of your body could use lotion right now?
  • What was the best thing before sliced bread?
  • You've been given an elephant. You can't get rid of it. What would you do with it?
  • What are the qualities you really enjoy in a friend?
  • If you could take back one decision you've made in life, what would it be?
  • If you could describe your life with one word, what word would you use?
  • Do you have any advice for first-time home buyers?

Now, if you didn't laugh, you didn't do it right. I'll let you try again, read the questions individually and then scroll back to the photo each time. Try it that way (the correct way) and you'll get it.

Back to the arrest. Police say they confiscated the following items during their search and seizure:

  • 6.6 grams of crack cocaine
  • 0.3 grams of cocaine
  • 11.9 ounces of marijuana
  • 15 subOxone film strips
  • $1,566 in cash
  • .45 caliber handgun with live rounds in the magazine
  • .38 caliber gun with live rounds
  • Bulletproof vest

Chauncey Christian's bond was set at $100,000 and Beth Quinones has a $500,000 bond. In 2000, Christian was convicted of first degree robbery, Quinones was convicted in 1999 for first degree kidnapping and second degree assault.
