Venus Flytrap-Shaped Water Slide Coming to Lake Compounce

A water slide six-stories tall will invade Lake Compounce is 2020!

The Hartford Courant recently reported that the Venus Vortex, a Venus flytrap-shaped water slide will arrive at Lake Compounce in Bristol sometime during the summer of 2020.

This will be the King Kong of water slides on the East Coast which will be located in the Crocodile Cove water park at Lake Compounce. It's a water slide and raft ride all rolled into one.

Lake Compounce is hoping the Volar Vortex will be in place and ready to ride by Memorial Day 2020. Here's what a press release had to say about the new wet ride,

After journeying through a dark tunnel, riders will experience weightlessness as they suddenly plummet down the near vertical drop as your three-person raft slides back and forth inbetween rows of teeth.
