Community Rallies Around Two Connecticut Teens Seriously Injured in Crash
Two High School Football players were involved in a horrible accident on Friday. One of the boys remains hospitalized in serious condition.
Fox61.com reports that 16-year-old Jordan Davis of Wallingford was driving on Highland Avenue in his hometown between Route 68 and Buttonwood Circle at about 3:00 pm. His best friend, 15-year-old Tre Childers was in the passenger seat. A witness said she heard a loud crash and came out of her house to see a car that appeared to be wrapped around a tree.
Police were called to the scene and had to use the Jaws of Life to extricate both boys from the car. They were both brought to the hospital where Davis underwent surgery on his legs and is now recovering at home. Tre Childers remains at Yale New Haven Hospital in the pediatric intensive care unit with bleeding on the brain and a collapsed lung.
