That's when the newly remodeled Still River Wellness at 3568 Winsted Road in Torrington will open its doors for the first time to recreational cannabis customers. It's been a long time coming for those of us who couldn't qualify for a medical marijuana card. Finally, a recreational dispensary miles of my home.

This will be the first recreational cannabis dispensary to open along Rt. 8 in Connecticut. Central and Southern portions of the state have the majority since January 10, 2023. Still River Wellness announced the date and time of their launch just after 5 PM this afternoon via e-mail to future customers who had pre-signed up for the revamped Still River Wellness loyalty club.

What can you expect on Monday morning? According to the update in the email that I received; Pre-orders will have priority, so order ahead, walk-ins will be welcomed, but you may experience a longer wait in line. There will be parking lot attendants assisting you to a spot, and also help navigate you out of there, you must bring ID - state issued ID, or valid passport, which will be scanned before you are allowed entry. You will be greeted by a receptionist, who will then guide you to the appropriate line.

Sounds like it's going to be perfect timing for the potential big snowstorm that the forecasters are predicting for Monday and Tuesday next week.
