The Worst Chocolate Brand is Sold All Over Connecticut
I am a chocolate connoisseur. I could skip out on candy for the rest of my life as long as it meant I still got to have chocolate.
Quality of chocolate is important to me. If it tastes like chemicals and fake ingredients, count me out. If it is extremely sweet, no thank you. Some of the OG chocolate brands will forever have a special place in my heart, though. (Shoutout Reese's)
The website Mashed came out with a list of the most popular chocolate brands and ranked them from worst to best. Now not everyone will agree with these lists and that is completely okay. I find them interesting and sometimes the facts are just what they are.
We will start with the best on the list. Lindt was named best chocolate brand. The website highlighted the high quality chocolate and the widely-available range of them. There are multiple different kinds, flavors, coca percentages, etc. They have very well-rounded flavors and clean ingredients which is definitely important.
I just needed to give a quick shoutout to the second chocolate brand on the list because it is one of my absolute favorites. Ferrero Rocher was named second best and I'll take it. It has a taste like no other, the packaging is great, the consistency, filling, all of it. The website also says they're made with high quality ingredients. I'll take a box of those.
Now for the worst chocolate brand. I feel like people are going to get upset about this because so many people look forward to eating this brand especially during a specific time of year. I have never liked this chocolate before, I think it tastes processed and way to sweet and apparently the article thinks so too.
The worst chocolate brand around the country is Cadbury chocolate. The article talks about the texture of the chocolate being grainy from the sugar as well as leaving a "waxy mouthfeel" at the end while eating it. The ingredients also weren't the highest of qualities, but still not super awful.
Personally, I've never understood the hype of Cadbury eggs. I think they taste disgusting, but to each their own. You can find Cadbury all over the state of Connecticut anytime you please. To see the full list of chocolates, you can check it out here.
