A Super-Talented Connecticut Woman Is On ‘The Voice’
This amazing 26-year-old named Kymberli Joye is from Windsor Connecticut and is on “Team Kelly,” as in Kelly Clarkson, on the show. According to the show’s website on NBC.com:
Music and church are two very important aspects of Kymberli’s life. She is a worship leader and minister, and she sings in the choir at her church, where her parents are pastors. Kymberli was able to find her personality and artistry in her college gospel choir. For the past seven years, she has been working alongside chart-topping singer JJ Hairston. One of the albums they recorded has been nominated for a Grammy.
Earlier in the month, during the blind auditions, she sang Whitney Houston’s “Run To You”. Three coaches turned their chairs around for her, but Kelly Clarkson used her block to keep Jennifer Hudson from acquiring the Windsor Native for her team. The show is on NBC again this coming Monday and Tuesday at 8 PM. Go Kymberli!
