Live From Daryl's House debuted in 2007, 84 episodes have aired over the years on Palladia, VH1, and MTV. The show mostly disappeared in 2016, but two new episodes were released in 2020. During each, Daryl invites legendary musicians to perform their songs, and his, alongside his house band, while taking a break between jams to grub some local food. Each episode is filmed inside Daryl's House Club in Pawling. Good news dropped recently from Daryl Hall himself, he's announced that a new season of live From Daryl's House is debuting today on YouTube. Here's the teaser video -

According to Variety.com, Live From Daryl's House debuts on it's own dedicated YouTube channel today(November 1,2023) with Episode 85 - Glenn Tilbrook from Squeeze. This season, Live From Daryl's House will debut 6 new weekly episodes (So far):

  • Charlie Starr from Blackberry Smoke - 11-8-23
  • Robert Fripp from King Crimson - 11-15-23
  • Andy Grammer - 11-22-23
  • Lisa Loeb - 11-29-23
  • Howard Jones - 12-6-23

I love the show, it's a rare example of top-level musicians deeply appreciating each other's art. I've rediscovered my admiration of the music and work of The O'Jays, Wyclef Jean, Aaron Neville, Todd Rundgren, Rob Thomas, and yes, even The Bacon Brothers, directly from watching Live From Daryl's House.

It's great news for those of us that appreciate skilled musicians who don't rely on studio production wizardry. I can go for that.
