There is only one place in all of New England to get a hot & fresh off-the-line Krispy Kreme Donut in January of 2025, and it's right here in Connecticut.

Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun are incredible destinations, and both have unique experiences and restaurants that no one else in Connecticut or New England offer. Do you remember Krispy Kreme? They made a splash in the early 2000's by opening up shops in Newington and Milford, but each only lasted a few years. Newington closed 20 years ago in 2005. There is a crushing monopoly in this land of Dunkin', just ask poor Tim Horton.

There is only one Krispy Kreme left in all of New England, and it's still chugging along every day right here in Connecticut. Krispy Kreme's only New England location is in Mohegan Sun in Uncasville. The wonderful smell of thousands upon thousands of fresh donuts will hit you in the feels by the Summer entrance at Mohegan Sun's Casino of the Earth. Unlike some of the restaurants, Krispy Kreme never closes, it's open 24/7/365.

My wife and I love Mohegan Sun, and we always parked at the Summer Valet, we'd get a dozen fresh while we waited for our vehicle to arrive.

Just over a year ago Krispy Kreme announced a partnership with McDonalds for a nationwide rollout of their donuts in McDonalds locations nationwide by the end of 2026. Since the announcement the collab has happened in Indiana, Kentucky, Illinois, Ohio, and Pennsylvania. New York City has stand alone shops, but nothing so far in New England McDonalds locations.
