How do you know when you have found "the one"? This is a question that probably goes around just as much, if not more, than "what is the meaning of life?"

I am sure that you have heard that there is no way to explain it. How many times have you heard, "you just know"? You can google it, you can ask everyone you have ever met. I could go on the air and take a poll, get a leader board going and tally up the scores.

Is it love? Well, duh! But I love a lot of people and I love my cats. Respect? Well, duh again! Without respect even loves dies. So what the heck is it?

My friend, Heather, and I had a conversation about this very thing and what we came up with made so much sense. The one word that should be coming up in your quest for "the one" is this four letter word:

EASY

No, life won't always be easy. Relationships take effort (notice I didn't say "work") and nuturing. But when you are with that other person, it should feel like life is easy. If you can describe your times together, your life, the air in your home as "easy" then you've got what it takes. (Just don't forget about the effort and nurturing part).
