Well maybe he's not all that powerful, but he is a great dog and one adorable pup. And he's now available for adoption at the Animal Welfare Society in New Milford.

His name is Kazoo and he's a 9-month-old dachshund mix and you'll notice right away he's not your typical dachshund. First off, he's much bigger than the average Weiner dog --  that's where the mix comes in. Secondly, he's so friendly and gets along great with other dogs.

He's got a lot of energy and comes to you totally vetted. Kazoo has had all his shots and has already been neutered, all he needs now is a little love and a forever home.

Here's an update on the status of some of the pets we've featured over the last few weeks.

  • Molly: Adopted, has a new forever home.
  • Sue: Now in permanent foster care, so she's getting a lot of love and has a new forever home.
  • Choley: Adopted, has a new forever home.
  • Mickey & Forest: Still available and waiting for their new forever home. They are both senior dogs and qualify for the senior to senior discount.
  • Clover & Charm: Remember the two mammas? they are still available, and waiting for their forever home.

They’re open Tuesday from 11 AM to 7 PM, and Wednesday through Saturday from 11 AM to 2 PM.

Keep in mind the Animal Welfare Society is undergoing construction to serve you and the animals better, so make sure you call before you go.
