The dog days of summer are upon us. If you’re anything like me, there was no vacation, and there were no outings like in years past (thanks COVID). But there’s still hope yet, to get out and enjoy the rest of the summer.

Before recently, I never realized just how many wineries there were near me in Connecticut. They’re all sprawled out through the state, making it easy for anyone to get out to one. Each has its own appeal, flavoring, and ambiance.

These wineries are great for all those connoisseurs out there, day-trippers who want some time out of the house, those who want the perfect Instagram pic, and people looking to host an event close to home.

Here are my top 5 picks of the 24 CT wineries listed on the CT Wine website.
