Located at 1734 Central Ave. in Bridgeport, the school operated for 93 years, producing a few NBA basketball players despite ranking in the bottom 50% of all schools in Connecticut for overall test scores.

By 2017, the school began to fall into disrepair, and school and city administrators had a monumental decision to make. Should they tear down the old building and build a new school where the old one stood or look for a new building site?

In 2018, a new school was built on a former General Electric factory site for $107 million. The four-story, 207,000-square-feet structure was equipped with top-of-the-line security features such as bulletproof glass and 130 security cameras. So, what does this abandoned 93-year-old building look like in 2023?
