Sports Betting in CT — Governor Malloy Says We Are Close
Connecticut Governor Dannel Malloy says the Nutmeg state is close to getting sports betting, but the clock is ticking.
Apparently, your local sports bar could soon take your bet if the Governor can get state lawmakers moving and get approval from Mohegan Sun and Foxwoods. Malloy has been negotiating with the owners of the casinos to get this going for months, according to News 12.
It's a matter of time before you can place a bet at your local bar in every state in the country. There is simply too much tax revenue the states can generate from gambling to not jump in line. It is going to happen everywhere, because as much as our politicians disagree on most everything, they are all on the same page when it comes to money.
As for Dan Malloy, let me quote Frank Costanza when I say, "This guy... This is not my kinda guy."
It seems as if the residents of the State of CT don't like him, and yet he continues to do "things." Take that $10,000,000 study about highway tolls, for example. This is like a pitcher giving up hit after hit, but there is no manager to pull him out and he won't take HIMSELF out of the game. Why not sit the next few plays out?
