In the wee hours of the morning, Southbury police got a call about a peaceful but hairy intruder.

In the middle of their overnight shift, Southbury police Officer Jacques and Cpl. Armeno responded to a call from a woman about an up close and personal visit from an opossum. According to the Police Dept's FB page, the animal had curled up in the woman's bed which was not to her liking so she called the police.

The two officers handled the delicate situation like pros and were able to maneuver the furry little guy into a soft laundry hamper. No humans or animals were injured in the extraction and the opossum was released back into its natural habitat. Hey, how about some opossum fun facts from opossumpower.org.
