April is Autism Awareness month. Some parents don't need the month of April to be aware of autism. That is a subject that I know all about. I am a mom who is aware of autism every single day.

A lot of strides have been made since my son was first diagnosed, but there is still so much that needs to be done. The Southbury Police Officers and Troop A of the Connecticut State Police feel the same way, so they are extending autism awareness month into May, putting on their aprons and serving up pancakes.

Tomorrow, you can have breakfast served by a cop as they wait tables at Chip's Restaurant at 775 Main Street South in Southbury, CT from 8:00 to 10:00am. Fifty percent of all "Stack of Kindness" sales from all six of Chip's Family Restaurants will be donated to The Autism Center at The Hospital for Special Care.
