Some of Danbury and Brookfield’s Best Churro Spots
As I get up in years, I learn more and more about myself. I've learned that I am strong willed, my knees are not getting any better and I have an endless sweet tooth. That was not always the case but it is now and when I crave, I crave hard.
Churros are one of my favorite sweet snacks, but they are not exactly one that you find everywhere in our area. I made a point to learn where to get them and who makes them best.
Some of Danbury + Brookfield's Best Churro Spots
If you think about it, nearly every culture has their own fried dough treat. I had this epiphany and started to wonder if this had occurred to anyone else and it has. In fact I found a great article about it from CNT Traveler.
The food magazine shared how many cultures celebrate some form of a fried dough dish. We know about the fried dough we buy at the State Fair or local carnival and we celebrate the churro but there are many others. These are just some of the examples:
- Brazil - Bolinha de Chuva
- Turkey - Tulumba Tatlisi
- Korea - Chapsal Donut
Humans love frying dough and some of them love writing about it. This was the first time in my life that the research was the most enjoyable part of the process.
If you think I missed any restaurants, stores or trucks that deserve to make this list, be sure to hit me up on the I-95 Rock Mobile App and I'll make the necessary changes, I trust you.
P.S. This is the picture I mentioned that features diagrams of some of the Nazca Lines.
This is also where I hold my secret power summits.
I guess they're probably not a secret anymore.
