5 Chances to Drink and Create Art this weekend in the Hudson Valley

I will admit I am one of those people with "art envy" and by that, I mean I wish I was more artistic. I can do the basics - stick people, color in the lines, those kinds of things. But when it comes to creating my own design, I definitely need some help.

The funny part about my lack of artistic talent is that there are a number of painters in my family. Over the years, I have watched and learned. I actually have really good color sense, but again when you get back down to design and the creative part, I draw a blank. I think that is why when the world of painting met up with the world of wine, I was all in.

Adult Arts and Crafts Events this Weekend in the Hudson Valley

The Sip & Paint is the perfect place for those of us that are social and have the art bug. You gather some friends, head out to someplace fun, and enjoy becoming the artist you knew you could be with a bit of help. If nothing else, you end up with wall art and a great night out.

Sip & Paints have even branched out these days to include other things like pottery and pot. Now that the pandemic is slowly retreating into the rearview mirror, there are more paint & sip events popping on the calendar. Check out the list I found for this weekend.

Sip & Paint: Starry Night at Vincent's Eat-Paint-Love Studio in Beacon, NY

Located at 331 Main Street in Beacon, New York the event is 7 PM to 9 PM. This painting class is taught by a professional and fun artist who will talk you through creating your own painting while you sip your favorite drink.

Saturday Night March 5th, 2022

Paint and Sip @ Studio 89 in Highland, NY

This event is hosted by Art by Laura Leigh at Studio 89 located on Vineyard Avenue in Highland, New York. The event is from 4 PM To 6 PM. It is an easy social night of painting with local landscape artist Laure Leigh. The cost is $40 per person which includes all painting materials, excellent instruction, and 2 glasses of wine. The evening's subject will be a scene of the MidHudson Bridge.

Puff & Paint at The Gypsy's Closet in Freehold, NY

Located at 9488 State Route 32 in Freehold, New York enjoy a night of self Led Painting with everything provided that you will need to make beautiful artwork. The Cost is $40 per person. Snacks and refreshments will be provided. The event runs from 6 PM to 9 PM.

Sunday Afternoon March 6th, 2022

Blackthorne Resort Paint N Sip in East Durham, NY

Located at 348 Sunside Rd in East Durham, New York this event is presented by the Roaming Paintress. The event runs from 1 PM to 3:30 PM on Sunday. It is $25 per person and that includes a 16 x 20 canvas, your painting supplies, and detailed instruction to create your painting.

Candle Making Event at Baldwin Vineyards in Pine Bush, NY

This event is hosted by Soylicious Candles LLC and Baldwin Vineyards at 176 Hardenburgh Rd in Pine Bush, New York. The event starts at 1 PM and they ask that you come early to get ready. Making your candle could take up to 2.5 hours. Your materials plus a glass of wine are included. The event costs $40 per person.
