Missing Danbury Teen Considered ‘Endangered’
A silver alert has been issued for a missing Danbury teen who's been described as an "endangered runaway."
According to the Patch, Police are looking for anyone with information about Tristian Corbett (pictured above) who was reported missing as of Monday morning, September 9.
Tristian is 14 years old and has been described as having black hair and brown eyes. He stands around 5 feet, 4 inches tall, weighs 120 pounds, and was born on July 8, 2005.
If anyone knows anything about this case or has seen Tristian, they should contact the Danbury Police Department at 203-797-4614 immediately. All calls will be kept confidential.
Originally established as an alert system for the retrieval of missing senior citizens, Silver Alerts were expanded in 2018 to include endangered children, high risk individuals and individuals who are mentally impaired.
Silver Alerts are also distributed less aggressively and have criteria that isn't as strict when compared to Amber Alerts. For example, Amber Alerts are distributed to citizens through text message and INDOT-operated highway boards, while Silver Alerts are not.
