UPDATE: Earlier, we reported that local police were seeking help in finding a 26-year-old Dutchess County man who had been missing since Sunday (September 20). Now, the Dutchess County Sheriff's Office now says that they've located the body of a male fitting the missing person's description.

On Tuesday, the sheriff's office was notified by family members that Andrew Neckles hadn't returned home after he went boating on the Hudson River on Sunday. His sister, Danielle, told our sister station that they have reason to believe Tyler was experiencing problems with his boat, because there were reports around 10:15 pm on Sunday that a small boat kept going around in circles near the location of where he was.
Police began the investigation on Tuesday, and continued into the search on Wednesday. They also sent out a request for public help to search for Neckles. The searched happened in both the river and on land.
As the search continued on Wednesday morning, the Dutchess County Sheriff's Office reports that the Sheriff's Office Marine Patrol was able to locate a boat and a deceased male fitting the description of Mr. Neckles. The boat was found close to the western shore of the Hudson River.
This scene is still active and under investigation, and the deceased male has been tentatively identified as Andrew Neckles. The Dutchess County Medical Examiner will make a final determination of cause of death, as well as confirming the identity.
Mr. Neckles' family & friends are in all of our thoughts and prayers at the station as they go through this tragedy.
