Reba McEntire and her boyfriend, Anthony "Skeeter" Lasuzzo, have gone their separate ways. The singer confirmed her breakup to US Weekly in a recent interview, revealing that she and Lasuzzo actually called it quits earlier in 2019.

"Skeeter and I broke up in May, so unfortunately, we will not be spending [the holidays] together. We still talk and we're friends, but just decided to go our separate ways," McEntire commented.

The pair dated for over two years. According to PeopleMcEntire first met Lasuzzo during a vacation trip to Jackson Hole, Wyo., where she was spending time with her friend and close collaborator Kix Brooks (of Brooks & Dunn). After that first trip, the singer returned to Jackson Hole two months later, and the pair began to date.

For the next couple of years, McEntire and Lasuzzo, a retired oil geologist, split their time between Wyoming, Nashville and Lasuzzo's home in Pottsboro, Texas. In April, McEntire told The Boot that she felt free to sing about any kind of subject matter on her brand-new album, Stronger Than the Truth, in part because she was in such a happy stage of life.

"I have the freedom, nothing to hold me back, to sing about sad songs, happy songs, story songs," she said at the time. "There's no, 'Ooh, I don't wanna sing that because that reminds me,' or, 'No, I don't wanna sing that song because it hurts when I sing it.' I'm very happy. I'm in a real good place."

Prior to her relationship with Lasuzzo, McEntire was married to Narvel Blackstock for 26 years. They have one child, 29-year-old Shelby Blackstock.
