Tomorrow (Saturday) from 4 to 6 pm, New Milford is hosting a “Rally for Humanity” at St. John's Episcopal Church. It’s a political gathering, which will put a focus on the nation’s immigration issues according to the New Milford Patch.

The new zero tolerance policy regarding immigration is what the event’s organizers, Action Together Network are speaking out against. Their aim is to get lawmakers to end the policy. Many clergy members from some of the town’s religious organizations will be speaking out addressing crowds tomorrow. Joining the clergy from St, John's Episcopal Chuch, members from the United Methodist Church of New Milford, and the Temple Shalom New Milford will be speaking.

The event’s organizers say:

We, the people, are ready to stand up, speak out and make our voices heard to stop the current zero tolerance enforcement of people seeking asylum in our country.

The address of St. John's Episcopal Church is: 7 Whittlesey Avenue, New Milford, Connecticut 06776.
