Police: Very Drunk Putnam Valley Man Injures 3 in Head-On Crash
A Hudson Valley man allegedly driving three times over the legal limit of intoxication is accused of crashing into a car head-on, injuring three, including one seriously.
On Monday, New York State Police announced the arrest of 22-year-old Kevin Singleton of Putnam Valley for vehicular assault, a felony, reckless endangerment, three counts of assault and aggravated driving while intoxicated, misdemeanors.
On Friday around 7 p.m., troopers were dispatched to Croton Avenue, in the town of Cortlandt for a two-car motor vehicle collision with injuries.
The investigation determined Singleton was traveling south on Croton Avenue and entered the northbound lane with his 2013 Ford F150, police say.
Singleton nailed a 2017 Honda Civic occupied by three people causing injuries to each, one victim suffered serious injuries, according to New York State Police.
Singleton was allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol. A further investigation determined his blood alcohol content was three times the legal limit, officials say.
Singleton was issued an appearance ticket returnable to the town of Cortlandt Court on Thursday.
