Police: Four Arrested in Association With Shooting in Danbury
Four Connecticut men have been arrested in association with a shooting that happened at a residence on Church Hill Road in Danbury back in September.
In the original report, Danbury police officers, emergency personnel, and firefighters responded to the Church Hill home after a shooting was reported at around 1:21 PM on September 14. When they arrived, police say they discovered a 20-year-old unidentified male with two gunshot wounds, one in each arm. The gunshots are believed to have been made with bird-shot style ammunition.
As a result of the shooting, both Westside Middle School Academy and the Mill Ridge Primary school were placed on a temporary lockdown as police began their investigation since the schools were in such close proximity to the residence.
A press release from the Danbury PD says that detectives were quickly able to develop suspects, and in the seven weeks since the incident, a diligent investigation has been able to uncover what is believed to have happened.
Police say that 18-year-old Camron Wilson of Waterbury, 19-year-old Cristian Centeno of Brigeport, 19-year-old Antonio Luna of Waterbury, and 18-year-old Cameron Tallman of Danbury went to the home on Church Hill Road in Danbury with the sole purpose to rob the unidentified victim. During the robbery, police believe Camron Wilson shot the victim once in each arm.
At about 6:00 this morning (November 3), Danbury Detectives took Camron Wilson into custody at a residence in Waterbury with the help of the US Marshall's Violent Crimes Fugitive Task Force. Both Cristian Centeno and Antonio Luna were taken into custody at Danbury Superior Court on Tuesday, October 3, while Cameron Tallman was taken into custody by detectives at his Danbury residence on Wednesday October 4.
Centeno, Luna, and Tallman have each been charged with second degree assualt and first degree robbery, and were held on $50,000 bonds.
The alleged shooter, Camron Wilson, has been charged with second degree assault with a firearm, first degree robbery, fifth degree larceny, and reckless endangerment. He is being held on a $100,000 bond.
