Another seasonal shop has officially opened its doors for the season!

I've said this before but I'll say it again, it's the best time of year. We have so many seasonal things that are finally opening their doors and it's so exciting. Drive-ins, ice cream shops, roadside stands, they're all opening up which means the warm weather is just around the corner.

Ferris Acres Officially Opens for the Season

I wrote an article a little while back about Rich Farms opening for the season and was patiently waiting for Connecticut's other best ice cream shop to officially open their doors as well. The time has officially come. Ferris Acres Creamery in Newtown has officially opened their doors for the season.

Rich Farms and Ferris Acres are two ice cream shops that are widely known. They land on many "best of" lists and have been nationally recognized, as well. While Rich Farms opened up for the season on St. Patty's Day - March 17, Ferris Acres opened officially opened their door yesterday, May 6.

If you've never been to Ferris Acres, you're missing out. They are located at 144 Sugar Street in Newtown. Their current spring hours are Monday through Saturday 11 AM - 8 PM and Sunday from 11 AM - 5 PM.

Ferris Acres is known for their variety of ice cream flavors as well as their cakes and pies. It's an exciting time in Connecticut when their doors are officially open for the season. I know I will be there this summer.
