Norwalk Mayor, Harry W. Rilling made it very clear, "Norwalk, I am pleading with you!"

Rilling was referring to residents who were seen as not social distancing in the middle of this COVID-19 global pandemic.

His reaction to citizens ignoring the directive has resulted in critical emergency orders for the city according to wtnh.com. Beginning Monday, March 30, until further notice, all vehicular travel to Norwalk parks and beaches will be restricted.

The second order is the number of people allowed in any business at one time to be reduced by 50% of the maximum occupancy. The mayor's third order is that Norwalk families are to limit themselves to one family member at a time per visit to a Norwalk store.

Norwalk along with Danbury are the two Connecticut cities that currently have the most cases of COVID-19. Connecticut, New York, and New Jersey are now under a government travel advisory. Right now the battle cry all over the world as Norwalk's mayor stated,

I am pleading with you, take this virus seriously. Protect yourselves and your families. Stay home and save lives
