How did they arrive at these numbers: U.S. News say they "analyzed the 150 most populous metro areas to find the best places to live. To make the top of the list, a place had to have good value, be a desirable place to live, have a strong job market and a high quality of life."

What did the study like about Hartford? They said:

"Don't let the historic architecture fool you: Even as one of the oldest metro areas in America, Hartford, Connecticut, has a lot to offer, both old and new.

Located in the Connecticut River Valley, Hartford has many cultural gems hidden amid rolling hills and wooded neighborhoods. In the centuries since its founding, Hartford has been home to several notable historic figures, including renowned authors Mark Twain and Harriet Beecher Stowe. Today, Hartford's central business district is home to a number of historic attractions and entertainment venues, and nearby vineyards, state parks and ski slopes provide plenty of recreational opportunities throughout the year.

Hartford attracts people from all walks of life, and its population is fairly diverse. The surrounding suburbs are great alternatives to urban living for families who can afford them."

What about New Haven? The wrote:

"New England charm and global cosmopolitanism combine in this small, livable seaside metropolitan area. Centuries-old architecture houses the galleries, concert venues and coffee shops that help make New Haven the cultural capital of Connecticut.

Yale University also undoubtedly adds to New Haven's charms. The Ivy League cultural institution has attracted artists, innovators, politicians and celebrities since the 1700s. The university's presence grants area residents easy access to art, theater and college sports. The region is also known for its cuisine, with high-end restaurants rubbing elbows with classic New Haven-style pizza joints and grilled cheese trucks.

New Haven has one of the most walkable city centers between New York City and Boston, and it has idyllic rural homes for those who love peace and quiet."

We're going to have to build the world's largest water slide or a ladder to space because we're getting our asses kicked in these studies.

Danbury Resident Has Astonishing Close Encounter With Famous Moose

His name is Daryl Pitman, and he's a Danbury resident who recently had a super-close encounter with a moose that has become famous in the Greater-Danbury area. In the past few days this moose has been seen in multiple Danbury locations, it's been seen in Newtown, New Fairfield, Woodbury and even Pawling, NY to name a few.

I saw Daryl's pictures in a different moose related thread and reached out to him. I asked him to tell me more. I wanted to know if these photos were real? Did he take the pictures? Was this in Danbury? When was this? How did he feel. An excited Daryl got back to me with the following responses.
