New Milford’s Got a Pocket Pit — Let’s Meet Isabelle
The Miniature Pitbull or the Pocket Pitbull is a relatively new dog breed. They are becoming very popular for families interested in owning a Pitbull without the massive muscular size.
You can see Isabelle and get to meet her at the Animal Welfare Society in New Milford, but you'd better hurry because she probably won't be there too long. Let's Meet Isabelle, the Pocket Pit:
Thanks to the folks at pocketpitbull.com, here are some facts about the Pocket Pit:
- Their coats are one of their best physical qualities. They are always shiny and smooth with a coat that is very short in length. The Pocket Pit’s coat can come in white, tan, cream, black, brown, and gray.
Isabelle does have bowed legs, but after being examined by a Vet, there doesn't seem to be any need for surgery. She should have no long term problems, it's not causing her any pain or discomfort.
She also loves to snuggle, and get's along well with everyone, can you say "mush dog".
For more information about Isabelle, and all the other adoptable Dogs and Cats, call the Animal Welfare Society at (860) 354-1350 or visit them on Dodd Road in New Milford.
They’re open Tuesday from 11 AM to 7 PM, and Wednesday through Saturday from 11 AM to 2 PM.
