DinerLuxe opened its doors in 2014 , and according to ctinsider.com, New Milford Mayor Pete Bass doesn't know why it closed so abruptly. Hearst Connecticut Media attempted to contact the diner several times for comment but to no avail.

According to a Facebook post by a New Milford resident, Michelle, the diner only gave their employees four days notice before it closed. She went on to say DinerLuxe has had three different owners since it opened in 2014. She posted, "The staff was awesome, and the food was great."

Mayor Pete Bass told insider, "What we can hope for now is that someone comes in and reformulates, whether it be a diner or a restaurant, and puts that property to good use.”
