It's official. The Bethel-based D&B Wellness medical marijuana dispensary has received official approval to move into its new location at 105 Mill Plain Road in Danbury, as reported on by Newstimes.

The building was a former Webster Bank branch complete with a drive-up window, and D&B Wellness is seeking approval to activate that window much like dispensaries throughout the country.

I think a drive-thru window is a no-brainer as it pertains to a medical marijuana dispensary. Medical marijuana is just that; medicine, and there's no reason why you can't pull up to a drive-thru window like I do when I pick up my cholesterol and blood pressure meds at the drive-up CVS.

Attorney Neil Marcus who represents D&B Wellness stated in a petition to the city Zoning Commission that a drive-thru would be "appropriate and beneficial to a medical marijuana dispensary facility". To obtain a medical marijuana card in the State of CT, take a look at this video.

Currently, the only hurdle is for the City of Danbury to abandon its drive-thru restriction on medical marijuana dispensaries. However, by the time the new location for D&B Wellness on Mill Plain Road is good to go, I'm confident approval for the drive-thru will follow.
