With locations in Northern Westchester and Fairfield counties, Bobos Cafe has added a new Ridgefield location.

I will admit, I've never heard of Bobos because there's never been a Northern Fairfield county location until, now but thanks to the article in the Danbury Daily Voice I was checking out the photos on Yelp.com. Bobos reminds me of a café in Saratoga Springs, NY called "Uncommon Grounds" which is classy but not pretentious.

Bobos is an upscale café where I think they could book a singer/songwriter to play tunes on a Friday or Saturday night, which brings back a sketchy memory from my days playing in a folk/rock trio called Sunup in the 70s.

We played a gig on a Saturday night at a place called the Purple Pig in some podunk New York town called Ogden. Because it was a café and didn't have a liquor license, people would wander in hammered looking for a cup of coffee. The patrons, all ten of them, told us to play "Stairway to Heaven", and when we refused, let's just say the situation got ugly.

My POINT is the new Bobos Café in Ridgefield is not the kind of café where they're going to ask you to sing "Stairway to Heaven" while you're enjoying your Nacho Libre Chicken Wrap so you can chow down in peace.

I've scanned Bobos menu where I picked out my two favs. I'm all about the 'Hot Chick' which is grilled fried chicken, Bobo's hot honey, buffalo sauce, blue cheese and cabbage slaw on a baguette OR Bobo's House Salad which includes a multitude of delicious veggies. Bon Appetit!
