More Snow, Wintry Weather For Greater Danbury + The Hudson Valley
Are you ready for another round of wintry weather? Well, whether you're ready or not, it's on its way, and should impact our area Wednesday night into Thursday. It's another week, and right on time, here comes more snow, sleet, and freezing rain.
It's been a pattern over the last few weeks, we get the snow, the change over to sleet and freezing rain, then to all rain as temperatures rise to well above freezing. That pattern will continue with the latest system heading our way.
Look for the snow to start later in the day Wednesday (Feb. 20), that will make for a possible slippery commute home, especially when the snow changes over to sleet and freezing rain before things end as all rain sometime Thursday morning. Total snowfall anywhere between a coating and maybe close to 2 inches in some of the higher elevations..
Here's the official 5 day forecast from the National Weather Service:

Tonight: Partly cloudy, with a low around 14. Northwest wind 3 to 6 mph.
Wednesday: A 30 percent chance of snow after 3pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 32. Wind chill values between 15 and 25. Calm wind becoming south 5 to 7 mph in the afternoon.
