Metro-North Harlem Line Delays Expected For The Next Few Weekends
Metro North continues to do some repair work on the Harlem Line, and that means riders can expect delays and schedule changes for many of the local stops during two different weekends in May.
The Nor'easters that hit the area back in March caused problems on the line and crews will be out doing repair work during this upcoming weekend, May 5th and 6th, and during the weekend of May 19th and 20th. There will no work done over the Mothers Day weekend, May 12th and 13th.
According to patch.com, crews will be working to repair power lines and wires that were damaged during the March storms.
Because of the repair work, some bus service will be provided to customers between Southeast and Goldens Bridge stations over the next four weekends.
Web.MTA.Info, which also released the bus schedule, announced how the work will effect you if you ride from certain station on the Harlem Line:
Wassaic Branch Customers: Expect trains that are going southbound to leave 10 minutes prior to the regularly scheduled train departure times at all stations between Wassaic and Patterson, then you can link up with bus service at Southeast. If you're going Northbound en route to Brewster or Southeast you should expect 15 minutes of additional travel time.
Southeast and Brewster Customers: All buses traveling southbound will leave 20 minutes earlier than regularly scheduled train departure times so you can connect with train service at Goldens Bridge. Northbound customers going to Brewster or Southeast should allow for an extra 15 minutes of travel time.
Croton Falls and Purdy's Customers: You'll need to head to Goldens Bridge, Katonah or North White Plains for direct train service to Grand Central Terminal. The MTA is also offering free weekend parking at stations affected by the repair work.
