The good news is there are no confirmed cases of the Coronavirus in Connecticut.

Mayor Mark Boughton has issued a statement on his FB page regarding the Coronavirus and the City of Danbury saying that he's been working directly with Danbury's Director of Health, Lisa Morrissey who's been monitoring the situation. I spoke with Mayor Mark and he specifically told me:

Right now we have been in close contact with our state and federal partners. We are monitoring the situation carefully and will notify our residents of any changes.

He went on to say that for more specific information Danbury residents should visit danbury-ct.gov/coronavirus-information/. You will also find some quick points to protect yourself like wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds and avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands. If you're wondering about the safety of traveling to locations where Coronavirus cases have occurred, navigate to cdc.gov/travel/notices/. On a personal note, I saw my first face mask being worn by a local Stop n' Shop employee. She told me she was wearing the mask because she didn't want to take any chances.
